The plan according to Cindy~
It's a new year, full of resolution. Dennis is going to the gym. I'm going to Weight Watchers (haven't I been doing this since you've known me?). And now we're getting ready for a trip to SE Asia and Japan. I've sent four letters off in the hope that I can find Noriei Miyashita, my pen pal from 1958 into the 60's. He worked for Japan Airlines and would be in his 70's or early 80's by now.

In the spirit of resolution we are also on a suitcase diet. We'll be gone for six weeks and are each taking two Revo carry-on sized pieces of luggage. The largest is a 21 inch 360 degree wheeled suitcase and the other is an under the seat bag. We searched everywhere for these and ended up getting them at Macy's...on sale of course. comwww.macys.com
Brand new pants--convertible which means the legs zip off! Four pair for the price of two...
The plan according to Dennis~
Well, it's a little more than a week before we leave for Vietnam and SE Asia. I must admit I'm excited but a little bit nervous. This will be the farthest we've gone and the most off the grid. Cindy's done a great job and spent many hours setting our itinerary with a bit of help from STA www.STA.com but with little help from me. She has asked me for suggestions so I have had input. For example: "Which towns would you like to visit?" She asked. I said, "I'm pretty open but I prefer smaller towns." So we're going to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Hanoi, Bangkok, and Tokyo. She assures me their populations are around 80,000 people...hmmm...she's also the one who convinced me that Bloomington, IN is on the US/Mexico border and that it has no snow or cold weather.

You can keep track of us here. We'll be returning to the states in mid-March. If you're in our area anytime after that, stop by and spend a few days. If you come, be prepared to sit through at least six hours of DVDs of our trip with Cindy narrating (and me interrupting to clarify). Six hours isn't so long, right?
