How many ways can you say green?

Our son-in-law Greg said we couldn’t be in this part of Ireland without seeing the Ring of Kerry. So on our first full day that is what we did. We set off on the Dingle peninsula to see what our driver, Jamie guaranteed is the most most beautiful view in Ireland.  It was a full day trip around the peninsula and it was filled with gorgeous views and amazing sights beginning in Killarney at the national park. The choice was to visit the town and the shops or take a jaunting with a Jarvis. I talked Dennis out of an hour or so of shops in favor of the jaunting and Jarvis. Vehicles are not allowed in the park, only foot traffic, bicycles or jauntings. Jauntings are horse drawn carriages driven by a Jarvis. The position of Jarvis is handed down in families from grandfather to father to son going back and back.

After the park we continued on to the Museum of the Potato Famine and an Irish coffee. Perfect morning pick-me-up!

And on to lovely views of the Atlantic, just beautiful!

Lunch and then on to another beautiful view. This one according to Jamie, is the most beautiful in all of Ireland.

What can I say about Michael and his friend?
How many shades of green are there in Ireland? Some of the most spectacular are at Torc Waterfall in the Killarney National Park.  What a day!

And the day’s not over...Plunkett Street.
