It Takes Two to Tango…

You knew, of course that this would be the title for the evening we went to La Ventana. We had the most delicious dinner and saw the most extraordinary show of tango and folkloric music and dance.

Almost all of the seats were filled. the waiters did the most astonishing job of taking orders for meals, bringing drinks, serving, and cleaning up before the performance began. This was a spectacular performance in itself. To add to the pleasure of the evening, we were seated across from a charming couple from France who were about to leave today for Ushuaia and on to Antarctica. It was a bit uncomfortable to hear their thoughts about our country but we did not stay on politics. Instead we talked about how beautiful Argentina is, how kind the people are, and the great diversity of the landscape. So back to the tango…

You can get into debt on your own

There are lots of things you can do alone.

But it takes two to tango, two to tango. 

We managed to get there and back. Uber here has been so easy and quite inexpensive, with drivers that Dennis thinks are very good. As for me I hang on to the door or if it’s available the bar above the back window. In terms of naps and nips, we’ve both managed to get a few of those in.

Cindy’s right!! This show was FANTASTIC. Nothing could have been better. Service and food were excellent, including the fact that there were about 200+ people eating and drinking. My 300 gram medium rare steak was done to perfection. The performers—dancers, musicians, and singers were the best I’ve seen or heard in any show I’ve ever watched. The qualifier here is even though I’ve seen Les Mis on Broadway, I’m still pretty much a small town unsophisticated rube. But I know what I like and I really liked this! WOW!! Wish we could have recorded the entire show so we could share it with you along with the other 24 hours we’ve recorded so far, when we invite you over to see our travel pictures…😈
